ABOUT ISPM 2027

The International Symposium on Polymeric Materials (ISPM) 2027 will be hosted by the School of Materials & Mineral Resources Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), bringing together researchers, academics, postgraduate students, engineers, industry professionals, and practitioners in an international forum for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Guided by the theme “Future Polymer Materials: Innovation, Integration and Impact,” ISPM 2027 will highlight emerging developments in polymer materials, processing, composites, sustainable technologies, advanced applications, and interdisciplinary research. The symposium offers a platform to present new findings, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful academic and industrial connections.

ISPM 2027 will take place on 7–8 April 2027 in Penang, one of Malaysia’s most internationally recognised destinations. Penang was named among the world’s top places to visit in 2026 by both CNN Travel and The New York Times, while the island was also ranked among the leading island destinations in Asia-Pacific.

Home to the vibrant city of George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008, Penang offers participants a distinctive setting that combines rich multicultural heritage, renowned cuisine, historic architecture, and a dynamic contemporary atmosphere.

Against this inspiring backdrop, ISPM 2027 aims to create an engaging environment for scientific exchange, networking, and collaboration while advancing polymer science and technology towards a more innovative and sustainable future.
